Eagle Sighting!
Taylor has developed a love for eagles in her short 22 months of life. As a result, she has taken special interest in the painting by Rene Magritte, Le Domaine d'Arnheim, an imaginative work of art depicting a mountainous scene in the shape of a bald eagle. On Friday morning, just after some heavy rains, Taylor and I gazed out of the back window as we usually do during breakfast. Covering our normal view of the mountains was a massive cluster of cumulous clouds backlit by the rising sun. Taylor Immediately exclaimed, "Look Mommy! There's an eagle in the mountains!" As I ran to grab the camera, the formation of clouds had already begun to transform, but I was still able to capture of a glimpse of what we saw. It seemed to be a scene right out of a painting.

The 99¢ Only Store is legit
To all my friends, who in the near future or distant future, find yourself anxiously wondering if you have a bun in the oven, I have some advice for you! Please don't go spending 15-20 buckaroos on the latest and greatest pregnancy test in a fancy package at your local drug store. Any dollar store near you will have some generic version of it, usually in less packaging. It is the same thing they use in the hospitals. They work. That's how I found out I was pregnant with Taylor and here is evidence of our 2nd child due to come January 8th, 2012! Now go spend the $20 on a cute maternity shirt. You've earned it ;)

11 inches lighter
I was chosen to be a part of a film production in Utah for the New Testament because I have that Jewish girl look, but I just withdrew from the production because there would be 12-14 hour days and an unpredictable schedule for 3 months. It would be way too long away from Adam and wouldn't be fair to Taylor either. I was not supposed to cut my hair because they wanted me to look authentic, but now that I am free from the guidelines, I decided to chop my mop! I feel great about my decision to withdraw from the production and great about the haircut :)

Is that the Ice Cream man??
As I was strolling Taylor on our walk home from Target, I noticed the old familiar music of the Ice Cream truck getting closer. At that moment I experienced a flashback of my adolescent days. One time, my friend Jen and I were curious what it was like to drive an ice cream truck. The ice cream man, "Big Ben" reluctantly allowed us to give it a whirl and just to change things up a bit, we temporarily switched the baby mobile-like melody into some hip-hop song on the radio. It was a short lived drive, but a hilarious one!! In this pic: Me when I was about 15 years old.

Original main bathroom
The pathway and doorway were so narrow in this bathroom so we decided to expand the whole bathroom passed the front door. It was so grimy we were inspired to take a sledge hammer to it. Of course, one thing always leads to another such as relocating our front door. There's no place like home, especially now! Thank you to my Jack of all trades, my hard working husband Adam who made it all happen. <3
Shoe Shopping
and no stopping! Taylor is on the go! Adam and I took my dad out to lunch for his birthday and then we decided to buy some new shoes for Taylor. First we checked out Stride Rite where the shoes that your kid will outgrow in 2 months cost more than 1 pair of my shoes. Then we checked out Payless and tried to find the most comfortable shoe. As I held one of the tennis shoes, I commented on how the sole might be so heavy that it would be awkward for her to lift her feet while walking. My dad replied, "What you really need is to buy some lead weights to put in her shoes to slow her down!" She was running into every store in the mall to hear whatever song they were playing and then she would stand their dancing, only pausing to say hello to every person walking by.

Taylor's "boyfriend"
Anytime the front door swings open or any time the car door swings open, Taylor is bolting next door to go play with her good buddy Jesse. She walks up his front path just as fast as her little legs can stride and she knocks on the door. Whenever nobody answers or if he is sleeping, she is very disappointed. When he is home, he runs outside to play with Taylor. She yells "Jetsee, Jetsee!" when she sees him. It's impossible to just get in our car without Taylor trying to make her way next door.
